Zaffi Taffy Sour | Assorted Fruit Flavours | 141g
4.2

From the creators of Zollipops and the original Zaffi Taffy. Sour Zaffi Taffy takes the same zero-sugar, tooth-friendly chewy formula and adds a tangy sour kick. Four sour fruit flavours: Sour Watermelon, Sour Green Apple, Sour Blue Raspberry, and Sour Grape. Made with erythritol and maltitol syrup, high in Vitamin C from Sodium Ascorbate, coloured with natural plant extracts, and free from artificial dyes. Zero sugar, does not stick to teeth, and does not taste like a sugar-free compromise.
The sour kick in Sour Zaffi Taffy comes from Citric Acid, the same natural acid found in lemons and limes that gives sour candy its characteristic tang. Unlike regular sour candy which uses citric acid on top of a sugar base, Sour Zaffi pairs it with erythritol and maltitol, sweeteners that do not produce the acid spike in the mouth that sugar does. The result is the sour-sweet experience without the sugar-driven pH crash that damages enamel.
Standard sour taffy and chewy candy use sugar and corn syrup as their base, which creates the adhesive quality that sticks to teeth and dental work. Sour Zaffi uses erythritol and maltitol syrup, which behave differently on contact with teeth and do not leave residue on enamel or braces. This makes it a practical option for anyone who loves chewy sour candy but has previously avoided it due to dental concerns.
Same base formula, same tooth-friendly ingredients, same no-stick texture. The sour variant adds more Citric Acid to the formula for the tangy profile. If your customer loves the original Zaffi but wants a more exciting flavour experience, the Sour variant is the natural upsell. Both can be cross-sold together as a variety purchase.
Maltitol Syrup, Coconut Oil, Maize Dextrin, Erythritol, Cotton Stearin*, Citric Acid, Natural Flavours, Soy Lecithin, Orange Oil, Salt, Sodium Ascorbate, Annatto Extract, Turmeric Oleoresin, Vegetable Juice (Red Beet Juice Concentrate), Vitamin E (Mixed Tocopherols), Carrageenan. 01
How is this different from the original Zaffi Taffy?
Same base formula and tooth-friendly ingredients. The sour variant adds more Citric Acid for a tangy, sour flavour profile and comes in four sour fruit flavours: Watermelon, Green Apple, Blue Raspberry, and Grape. The original comes in sweeter fruit flavours: Strawberry, Grape, Orange, and Pineapple. If you are not sure which to try, the sour variant is generally popular with older kids and adults who prefer a bolder flavour.
02
Does the sour coating stick to teeth?
No. The sour quality comes from Citric Acid in the formula rather than a sugar-based sour coating dusted on the outside, which is how most sour candy is made. There is no sticky exterior coating and no sugar residue left on teeth after eating.
03
Is it safe for kids with braces?
Sour Zaffi is formulated to be non-sticky and does not adhere to teeth or brackets the way regular sour candy does. Many parents and orthodontists recommend it as a safer option for children in braces who want to enjoy chewy candy. Always consult your child's orthodontist for specific guidance on what foods are appropriate during treatment.
04
Can people with diabetes eat this?
Maltitol syrup and erythritol both have a significantly lower glycemic index than sugar. Sour Zaffi Taffy is marketed as diabetic-friendly and keto-friendly. As with any food product, individuals with diabetes should consult their healthcare provider about incorporating new foods into their diet.
05
Does it actually taste sour?
Yes, genuinely. The sour intensity is comparable to standard sour candy. The most consistent customer feedback is that it does not taste sugar-free, and that the sour profile is authentic rather than muted the way many sugar-free sour products are. The Sour Watermelon is the highest-rated flavour among repeat buyers.
06
What allergens does it contain?
Contains Soy Lecithin. Made in a facility that also processes dairy. Free from gluten, peanuts, tree nuts (other than coconut), and eggs. Always check the current product label for the most accurate allergen information.
